Prof Chua Nam Hai Group: Postdoctoral Position
Research
We are seeking a highly motivated researcher to join our team for a two-year project focusing on plant disease resistance. The successful candidate will investigate the genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying plant–pathogen interactions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on plant disease resistance using molecular biology and genetic approaches
- Perform experiments such as gene expression analysis, genome editing, and biochemical assays
- Develop and analyze transgenic plants to study disease resistance traits
- Collect data, perform statistical analyses, and compile findings for reports and publications
- Collaborate with team members and contribute to research discussions
Requirements:
- PhD in Plant Genetics, Molecular Biology, or a related field
- Strong background in plant molecular biology and genetics
- Research experience in plant disease resistance is preferred
- Self-motivated, independent, and able to work effectively as part of a team
