Dr Urano Daisuke Group: Postdoctoral Position
Research
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Fellow to join our lab to uncover the signaling and structural mechanisms underlying plant interactions with agrochemicals. Through the project, we will explore strategies to design selective and environmentally friendly agrochemicals and evaluate their activity spectrum using a combination of computational simulations and experimental validation. The group’s full publication list can be found at: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/?term=Daisuke+Urano
Responsibilities:
The research project will employ computational and experimental approaches (e.g., structural bioinformatics and biochemistry) to investigate the relationship between the structural and functional determinants of agrochemical activity across a variety of plant species. Further project details will be discussed during the interview.
Requirements:
- PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology and/or bioinformatics
- Advanced experience in protein expression and purification from E. coli is required
- Experience with LC–MS analysis (metabolome) would be an advantage but is not essential.
- Excellent communication skills and research ethics are highly required
Salary and benefits are commensurable to educational qualifications and working experience of the candidate. Benefits include annual leave, medical and flexi-benefits, etc.
Interested individuals should send their applications (including a cover letter – please include a short description of career goal, curriculum vitae, and three referees’ contacts/recommendation letters) to:
