We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to work on a project involving characterization and improvement of bioactive components in human breast milk.
Responsibilities:
- Process clinical samples
- Perform molecular and functional analyses of miRNA
- Conduct mammalian cell transfection, generate stable lines and perform cell differentiation assays
- Culture, maintain and cryopreserve mammalian cell cultures
- Perform bioinformatic analyses of transcriptomic data and basic molecular biology experiments such as molecular cloning
Requirements:
- BSc (Hons) / MSc in Biological Sciences or related fields
- Expertise in mammalian cell culture work and differentiation, lentivirus transduction and mutagenesis via CRISPR-Cas9 technology
- Experience in basic molecular biology (RNA extraction, RT-PCR, qPCR etc)
- Prior experience with miRNA work, extracellular vesicles and handling clinical samples will be an added advantage
- Meticulous, organized, independent
