We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to work on a collaborative research project between TLL and KKH to study the molecular and cellular components of human breast milk.
Responsibilities:
- Process clinical samples and extract RNA
- Isolate and perform primary cell cultures
- Grow, maintain and cryopreserve mammalian cell cultures
- Process and analyze samples using flow cytometry
- Perform bioinformatic analyses of transcriptomic data and basic molecular biology experiments
Requirements:
- BSc (Hons) or MSc in Biological Sciences or related fields
- Expertise in mammalian cell culture work and basic molecular biology (RNA extraction, RT-PCR, qPCR etc)
- Prior experience in handling clinical samples (eg. Cells, blood, human milk)
- Related experience in immunology, flow cytometry and NGS bioinformatics analysis will be an added advantage
- Able to commute between KKH and TLL occasionally
- Meticulous, organized and independent
- Candidates without related experience may be considered
