TLL anticipates accepting 10-12 students per year into the PhD Graduate Program. Applications are accepted and reviewed twice a year. The deadlines for receipt of completed applications are June 1 and December 1. (please note change in application deadlines. previous deadlines: Dec 31 and June 30) Applications should be made using the form available here ( PDF format), and sent together with all necessary supporting documents to:

GRE scores:
GRE scores are not required at the time of application but are a requirement for registration to the National University of Singapore (from which the PhD is conferred). This requirement can be waived for applicants with proven research experience (authorship on a research paper in a peer-reviewed international journal), GATE score greater than 90th percentile, or graduates of NUS and NTU with the distinction of Honours.

Incomplete applications, or curriculum vitae sent directly to group leaders, will not be considered. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that letters of reference have been sent. Short-listed candidates will be interviewed by the Graduate Committee. Successful candidates are notified no later than August 31 and February 28 for the summer and winter deadlines, respectively.
