We are seeking for a highly motivated individual to systematically understand signaling and transcriptional networks that regulate plant development and abiotic stress responses in liverwort, Arabidopsis, and a few other model plants.
The research project takes multidisciplinary approaches including plant genetics, transcriptome, metabolome and bioinformatics to understand stress responses along the evolutionary trajectory in plants. The successful candidate will collect and process deep transcriptome data (both conventional and single-cell RNA-sequencing) and epigenomic features, and statistically extract expression feature from the large-scale dataset.
- PhD in the fields of biostatistics, bioinformatics or plant genetics
- Experience in the programing languages: R and/or Python would be in advantageous
- Experience in gene expression data analysis and in a wet laboratory preferred, but not essential
- Excellent communication skills and research ethics are highly required
