We are seeking for a Laboratory Technologist to work on projects related to ageing and neurodegeneration, taking advantage of a very short-living fish model, Nothobranchius (African killifish) and the fruitfly, Drosophila. Our research projects aim to understand Parkinson’s disease and seek to develop potential diagnostics and treatment methods. Responsibilities of this position will include, but not limited to, fish breeding, Drosophila maintenance, and purchasing of consumables.
- Polytechnic Diploma in Biological Sciences or related fields
- Good organizational skill
- Experience with fish husbandry either in a laboratory or as a hobbyist (this is an important requirement)
